Our Leadership Team
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Steve became pastor of Shearer Hills in June 2014. He is a graduate of Baylor University and Truett Theological Seminary, both located in Waco, TX. He has served churches in Texas and Louisiana. Steve also worked at Baylor as the Director for University Ministries and Missions.
Steve is married to Cindy and they have three children- Ashlyn, Rebekah and Samuel.
Associate Pastor/Administrator & Sr. Adults
Rodger serves as our Associate Pastor as of September 2011. His ministry at Shearer Hills began in September 2003 as our Minister of Education and Missions. He graduated from Angelo State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth.
Rodger enjoys spending time with his wife, Ginger, and two children, Bailey and Grayson. He also enjoys traveling, antiques and hunting.
Minister of Music & Worship
Jay began serving Shearer Hills in September 2011. He graduated from Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Jay and his wife Angela have one son – Travis.
Minister of Discipleship, Missions, and Young Adults
Rod began serving at Shearer Hills in August 2011. He graduated from Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rod has served with the IMB in Paris, France.
Rod and his wife Kendra have four children – Samuel, Ellison, Magness and Marin. Rod enjoys traveling, reading, playing golf and singing.
Minister of Students
Jeff began serving as youth minister of Shearer Hills in August 2010. He graduated from Texas Tech University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Jeff and his wife Lucy have two children – Ruthie and Whit. As youth minister, he wants to build disciplined followers of Jesus Christ through equipping students to understand, share and defend their faith.
