Reaching Hands
 

On Wednesday mornings, beginning at 9:00 am, Shearer Hills hosts Reaching Hands,  a ministry to our homeless community. We offer access to hot showers, provide toiletries, clothing, and other necessities. Corazon Mobile Medical Unit has partnered with us to provide first aid and wound care supplies, peer support, case management, and ID recovery. 

This is followed by a hot meal and conversation around the tables.  Relationships are formed and a time of Bible study and prayer is offered to all who enter.

Throughout the year, our focus is to spread the good news of Jesus to those we encounter. We believe this starts with our day to day lives, while also intentionally serving in locally, nationally, and internationally.

Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

It's not a box - it's a child

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.

Texas On Mission
SHBC Chainsaw Group

 

The San Antonio chainsaw recovery team is based at SHBC. We have a truck and tractor equipped with chainsaws, replacement parts, and rigging equipment. We also have a 35' lift. TBM provides special training to our members.
